Quantum algorithms for assets portfolio optimization

Université Paris Diderot Logo

Researchers from the Université Paris Diderot develop the first quantum algorithm for the constrained portfolio optimization problem.

The quantum algorithm can achieve a polynomial speedup over the best classical algorithms in certain conditions.

Quantum techniques like Feynman integrals might be useful for option pricing. Experimental work has also been achieved using Monte Carlo methods. (Securities Finance Monitor)
