Swiss firms get EC funding to create secure quantum communication infrastructure

In September 2019, the European Commission (EC) announced the launch of OPENQKD, a €15 million worth project aimed to provide test quantum communication infrastructures in several European countries.

Four Swiss Geneva-located firms, The University of Geneva, Switzerland, ID Quantique (IDQ), Services Industriels de Genève (SIG) and Mt Pelerin were shortlisted.
