Linear Ascending Metrological Algorithm

Linear Ascending Metrological Algorithm

A research team around Quantum tech startup Terra Quantum pushed sensing capacity beyond what has previously been achievable by exploiting quantum resources. Human understanding of the world and our technological progress are often limited by measurement precision. Its novel sensing algorithm, “Linear Ascending Metrological Algorithm”, is a quantum protocol for high-precision magnetic field measurements. The researchers approach mitigates detrimental yet always existing noise-related effects.

The developed quantum software is suitable for superconducting multilevel devices and optical systems. It can also find applications in brain research and space exploration.

Besides Terra Quantum, researchers include Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, QTF Centre of Excellence, Department of Applied Physics  (Aalto University School of Science), and  a Consortium for Advanced Science and Engineering (CASE), University of Chicago.

The paper is published in Physical Review Research.
